How it all started...

Our history
A family-run gourmet manufactory
Krissi's mother Vera wanted Krissi to have a great Birthday Cake just like his friends, but there was nothing in the local bakeries and shops that would suit Krissi because of his fructose intolerance.
So Vera fiddled around in the kitchen at home until she was satisfied with the result and baked cakes sweetened with dextrose for Krissi, which were so delicious that Krissi's best friend Tom always wanted Vera's fructose-free cakes for his birthday.
Luckily, it didn't stop with the cakes - Vera kept experimenting and so today there is a great choice of sweet and hearty delicacies from the manufactory that provide quick energy and are easy to digest.
Today, Krissi and mum Vera continue to run the Gourmet Manufactory in the Family Business together and are always developing new, lovingly formulated delicacies to share with everyone.

Unsere Geschichte

Exquisite ingredients
We use high-quality fruit and thus offer not only excellent quality but also a full and fruity taste. We also use only the best ingredients for our baked goods and therefore only purchase free-range eggs whenever possible from a regional farm in the neighborhood.
Only the best sweetness
We only use the best natural sweeteners for our treats. Instead of using conventional types of sugar, we only sweeten with dextrose and glucose syrup and do not use any sugar substitutes at all. This means that our products are not only fructose-free or low-fructose, but also easily digestible and naturally sweet.

What is fructose free food?

Fructose free sweets - how is that possible?
The desire for sweets is innate in us humans - sweet food signal a high energy content to the body. The food industry is also aware of this preference, which is why food is enriched with sugar. Fructose is usually used for this purpose because fructose is cheap and has a high sweetening power. Accordingly, it is difficult to obtain fructose free food from the supermarket.
Delicious alternatives to fructose - we sweeten fructose free food with it:
- dextrose (glucose, also called grape sugar)
- malt sugar (maltose)
There are also artificial substitutes for fructose free food such as sorbitol and xylitol. However, you should avoid these two - they cause the same symptoms as fructose.
